Quantum EuroSSQ-HPC Project
Description
This talk will introduce the EuroSSQ-HPC project and its role as one of the building blocks of Europe’s emerging quantum infrastructure. It will explore how initiatives like EuroSSQ-HPC are helping turn the promise of quantum computing into practical capabilities, strengthening Europe’s readiness. At the same time, the talk will take a closer look at some of the key challenges: integrating quantum systems with existing HPC infrastructures and workflows, developing the skills and software needed to use them, and, perhaps most importantly, identifying and developing quantum applications that can deliver meaningful value.
Moving from promising demonstrations to useful, accessible quantum computing requires progress not only in the technology itself, but also in the way we connect it to existing computing ecosystems and discover where quantum computing can genuinely make a difference
