Workshop: Hands-on Quantum Computing

Published

October 2, 2026

Description

In this workshop you’ll learn about gate-based quantum computing. It starts with half an hour of lecture, which is followed by two hours of hands-on exercises. The exercises vary in level: some cover just the fundamentals, others slightly more involved toy problems demonstrating the peculiar nature and benefits of quantum computing, and yet others are small, practical problems that can efficiently be solved using a quantum computer. No prior knowledge is required. The workshop will be hands-on; for the problems we’ll make use of https://algassert.com/quirk.

Participants should bring a laptop.
